I’ve been completely revamping my home automation and moving devices off WiFi and on to Zigbee and Matter. My door locks, presence sensors, window/door sensors, cameras, etc. are now all Aqara.
There are two things I would really like to see Aqara offer:
1: The ability to connect multiple LED T1 strips together with full RGBIC supports. I currently have 3 T1 strips plugged into power outlets behind the TV.
2: Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. I use the Google/Nest detectors but they connect directly to wifi. I’m trying to get IOT devices off my wifi network and connected through zigbee.

For your first idea about connecting multiple LED T1 strips with full RGBIC support: Currently, the Aqara LED Strip T1 does allow extending the basic 2m strip by purchasing the extension kit (model RLSE-K01D). After connecting the original strip and extension kit, fasten the joint with the buckle and set the actual length in the app to activate the extended part . However, the reference information doesn’t mention RGBIC support for linked strips, so this specific feature detail isn’t covered here.
Your second suggestion for Zigbee-based smoke and carbon monoxide detectors is also a solid one—reducing WiFi dependency for IoT devices is a smart move!
