My Orbi 970 mesh system is clogged with so many legacy WiFi IoT devices, as you say everything works just fine as-is but my preference is to move everything over to a thread based system, personal choices and all that good stuff 
So I ended up getting a couple of the TaPo Matter over Wifi ones and they have in all fairness been working great.
Until earlier today. I turned one on (via an Aqara MiniSwitch but running through Home Assistant). That worked fine, and then a few minutes later I went to turn it off again, and it didn’t I tried a couple of times and nothing.
I then logged onto HA and tried turning it off but it wouldn’t respond.
I then tried a plug on the other extension and that worked fine.
I got HA to ping the plug, and then pop, everything started working again. Not sure what the reason was, but that has been the only issue I’ve experienced with it so far.
