I just wanted to share something that I’m really proud of! I recently completed a DIY project in my home, and it turned out absolutely stunning. It’s a rose-themed lighting setup that I installed in my living room. The colors are so vibrant, and it creates such a cozy atmosphere, especially in the evenings. I love using it while watching my favorite shows on Netflix. If anyone is interested, I’d be happy to share the details of how I did it! 
But my journey into smart home technology hasn’t been all smooth sailing. I’ve encountered a few bumps along the way. For instance, I’ve been trying to integrate my Daikin air conditioner with Home Assistant using an IR transmitter. It’s been a bit of a puzzle, but I’m determined to figure it out. I’ve tried different protocols and settings, but it just doesn’t seem to work. If anyone has experience with this, I’d really appreciate some advice! 
Another challenge I faced was with my iOS app for Home Assistant. I kept getting an SSL certificate error when trying to connect to my local network. It was frustrating because everything worked fine externally. After some research, I discovered that adjusting the certificate verification settings in my appdaemon.yaml file helped. Now, I can access my home automation system without any issues. 
I also wanted to mention the incredible air purifier I’ve been using from Govee. It’s been a lifesaver, especially during these colder months when the air quality isn’t the best. It’s quiet, efficient, and has a sleek design. Highly recommend it if you’re in the market for a good air cleaner!
