Hey everyone! I wanted to share a fun experiment I did recently with my Govee smart thermometer. It all started when I was taking a relaxing bath and noticed how the warm, humid air made the bathroom feel cozier. I wondered if the temperature actually changed with the steam from the shower or if it was just my imagination.
To test this out, I brought my Govee smart thermometer into the bathroom and set it up on a towel rack. I started by recording the initial temperature (70.9°F) and humidity (38.9%). As I turned on the shower, I locked my cat in the bathroom to keep her from interfering with the experiment.
The results were fascinating! The humidity skyrocketed to 97.5%, and the temperature climbed to 79.3°F. The Govee app even captured the exact moment when the thermometer fell off the rack mid-experiment—talk about attention to detail!
After finishing my bath, I opened the door to let the steam escape and monitored how the temperature and humidity slowly returned to baseline. It was like watching a mini weather system in action!
This experiment made me realize how much the environment can affect our perception of temperature. It also showed me how reliable the Govee thermometer is for tracking subtle changes in humidity and temperature. I’m now planning to use it in my pet’s terrarium to ensure they always have the perfect humidity levels.
If you’ve ever wondered about the science behind your bathroom steam or how to make the most of your Govee devices, I hope this little experiment inspired you to try something fun too!
Peace out, Laine
