A Fun Smart Home Automation Experiment: Coffee Maker + Motion Sensors

Hey everyone, I wanted to share a fun little project I’ve been working on with my smart home setup. I’ve always been a coffee enthusiast, and I thought it’d be awesome to automate my morning coffee routine using some of my existing smart devices. Here’s how I did it!First, I’ve been using a Smart Coffee Maker for a while now, and it’s been a game-changer. But I wanted to take it a step further. I decided to integrate it with my motion sensors so that my coffee starts brewing automatically when I start moving around in the morning. Here’s the setup:- I have a Smart Coffee Maker that’s integrated with my home automation system.- I’ve got a Motion Sensor in my bedroom and another in the kitchen.- I use IFTTT to create the automation rule.**How it works:**1. When the motion sensor in my bedroom detects movement (which usually happens when I wake up), it triggers the automation.2. The automation then sends a command to my smart coffee maker to start brewing.3. By the time I reach the kitchen, my coffee is ready and waiting for me!Why I love this setup:- It’s incredibly convenient. No more fumbling with the coffee maker in the morning.- It’s a great example of how smart home devices can work together to simplify daily routines.- Plus, it’s a fun way to start the day with a little tech-powered surprise!I’d love to hear how others have automated their morning routines. Have you tried anything similar? What other devices have you integrated into your morning setup? Let’s share and inspire each other!
