I wanted to share my positive experience integrating multiple smart devices into Home Assistant. My journey began with the Tuya 2.0 Integration, which allowed me to connect various sensors and automate my home efficiently. Initially, I faced challenges with automations involving multiple conditions, but through trial and error, I discovered the power of using ‘or’ conditions to trigger alerts when windows were left open during away modes. This experience taught me the importance of testing each component individually before combining them.Another highlight was setting up door sensors with a tag scanner. While the functionality worked seamlessly, I noticed a minor issue with the history logs not displaying the user who unlocked the door via the tag. However, this didn’t dampen my enthusiasm, as the core functionality remained intact.I also explored climate control with radiator thermostats and wall thermostats. This was a learning curve, but with some research and configuration examples, I managed to create a comfortable and energy-efficient home environment. The satisfaction of seeing everything work in harmony was immense.Throughout this journey, I’ve learned the value of patience and thorough documentation. Each challenge presented an opportunity to grow and understand my system better. I’m excited about the future possibilities and encourage others to embark on this rewarding journey. Happy automating!
