I’ve recently embarked on my smart home journey, and I must say, it’s been an absolutely delightful experience! 
Let me share a bit about how I integrated my devices and what I’ve learned along the way.
Starting with the basics, I decided to go with a mix of Zigbee and Z-Wave devices for their reliability and compatibility. Pairing the devices was a breeze, especially with the Hubitat Elevation hub. I was particularly impressed with how smoothly the Sengled RGB bulbs integrated into my setup. The vibrant colors and smooth dimming capabilities have completely transformed my living space!
However, it wasn’t all plain sailing. I encountered a hiccup with one of my motion sensors, which kept disconnecting from the mesh network. After some research and troubleshooting, I realized that placing a repeater nearby significantly improved the connectivity. It’s amazing how a simple adjustment can make such a big difference! 
One of my favorite features is the ability to create routines using Hubitat’s rule machine. For instance, I set up a routine where the lights dim and the thermostat adjusts when I hit the bed. It’s these small touches that make my home feel truly smart and personalized.
