I’ve recently embarked on a journey to integrate various smart home devices into my daily life, and it’s been an enlightening experience! 
Starting with the basics, I wanted to ensure seamless connectivity across different brands. The Ring Video Doorbell getting HomeKit certification was a game-changer for me, as it allowed for a more unified ecosystem. While waiting for its official release, I’ve been experimenting with other devices like my Samsung TV paired with the SmartThings app. It’s fascinating how these devices can work together to enhance my living space!
One of the challenges I faced was setting up consistent lighting automation. I discovered that using presence detection with Hue lights made a world of difference. However, there was a hiccup when lights wouldn’t turn back on if I entered the room just as they were switching off.
