Hello everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience upgrading my OpenHAB setup. It’s always a bit nerve-wracking when updating, but this time it went surprisingly well! ![]()
I decided to switch from the older openHABian image to the latest version. After backing up my configurations, I followed the official upgrade guide. I was a bit worried about potential issues with my Z-Wave devices, especially the Aeotec MultiSensor 6 I’ve been having trouble with. But to my delight, everything synced up perfectly! ![]()
One thing I noticed was the improved UI/UX. The new interface is much cleaner and more intuitive. I also appreciate the enhanced rule editor—it makes debugging so much easier! ![]()
I did run into a small hiccup with my Philips Hue bulbs briefly going offline, but after a quick restart and checking the logs, they were back up and running. It’s amazing how resilient the system is. ![]()
This upgrade gave me the confidence to explore more advanced features, like integrating timers with shared cache. It’s been a great learning experience! ![]()
If anyone is hesitant about upgrading, I’d say go for it! Just make sure to back up and take it step by step. Happy automating! ![]()
