Hey everyone, I’m diving into a new project that’s been on my radar for a while—integrating my ABB solar inverter into Home Assistant. I’ve got the basics down with lights, Sonos, and Telegram, but this seems like the next big challenge! 
First off, the inverter is in the garage, miles away from my Home Assistant setup. It has a serial interface, which means I need to figure out how to get it talking to my system. I’ve heard that a PiZero with a USB to RS232 cable might be the way to go. But honestly, I’m not sure where to start. I need to research what software I’d need on the PiZero and how to get it connected via Wi-Fi. Any advice or pointers would be super appreciated! 
I’ve also come across some posts about others successfully integrating their inverters, so I know it’s possible. If anyone has experience with this or could share their setup, it’d be a huge help.
