Hey everyone, I wanted to share a really cool setup I recently got working with my Sonos speakers. I’ve always been looking for a way to have more control over my music and to send messages to my family while I’m away. After some research, I stumbled upon a method using Launch Center Pro, IFTTT, and a Node.js server on my home network. It’s been a game-changer for me!
The setup allows me to select any of my Sonos favorites, whether they’re streaming from Pandora, Spotify, or just local files, in seconds. Plus, I’ve also set up a command that lets me have my entire Sonos system speak anything I want at the moment. The instructions were pretty clear, and even though I hadn’t set up a Node.js server before, it wasn’t too hard.
I really like how this gives me the ability to play music and send messages without any hassle. Until I can get this level of control through SmartThings, this has become my go-to method. I’d love to hear if anyone else has achieved something similar or if there’s a way to replicate this level of control directly within the SmartThings ecosystem. Let me know your thoughts!
