Hello smart home enthusiasts! I wanted to share my experience with achieving smooth transitions using my Hue lights within the Bosch Smart Home ecosystem. As someone who loves creating ambiance, the ability to fade lights over time is essential for me.
While the Hue app makes this effortless, I’ve been exploring how to replicate this functionality within the Bosch Smart Home app. The goal is to have my Hue lights transition to their target color and brightness over a longer period, say 30 minutes, rather than an instantaneous change.
I’ve found that while the Bosch app is incredibly powerful, it requires a bit of creativity to achieve the desired effect. By setting up a series of step-by-step automations, I’ve been able to mimic the smooth fade-in and fade-out that the Hue app offers. For example, I created a scene where the lights gradually brighten over 30 minutes in the morning, creating a gentle wake-up experience.
