I’m sure this must have been answered before. But is there a reason why we can’t be in all families at once?
I have most of my Aqara hubs, sensors etc added to Homekit, but they also show in Alexa - they add themselves to that environment. This means that there is no issue with being controlled by multi environments?? Why can’t we add them to HA also?
@daniel21 It seems like you’re exploring the possibilities of integrating Aqara devices across multiple smart home ecosystems simultaneously. Based on the reference information provided, Aqara devices can indeed integrate with various platforms like Apple HomeKit, Google Home, and Amazon Alexa through the Aqara Hub. This is facilitated by the Matter protocol or ecosystem-specific skills.
However, regarding Home Assistant (HA), the integration might not be as straightforward. Some Aqara devices are exclusive to certain ecosystems, which could limit their direct integration. If you’re looking to add your Aqara devices to Home Assistant, you might need to explore third-party integrations or community-developed solutions, as there may not be official support for all devices through Aqara’s platform.
This is an interesting area, and it would be great to hear more from the community on how others have navigated similar challenges. If anyone has successfully integrated Aqara devices with Home Assistant, feel free to share your experience!
Hello @daniel21
You can add all your hubs to HA via matter because matter bridge is available for aqara hubs and your zigbee devices will be added along with the hub.
