Hi all,
I’m trying to add aqara relay to stair case time lag switch. The switch is connected to Neutral and phase line that comes from the auto-time-lag device. I also have an active L in the box.
Any idea which relay to use and how to wire it?
Well, the T2 relay should work! About the wiring it’s difficult to say without measuring it! If you don’t know what and how to do - please hire a professional electrician
Thank you for the fast response. I have already installed a few T2 relays on “standard” switches. This one is different because the neutral is connected directly to the switch (the timer starts when the phase is shortened to the neutral). I will hire a pro, but I’m not sure he’s well familiar with the Aqara relay. If you provide high-level guidance, it will be very beneficial.

I fully support @DEChrisE , get a specialist. Also, don’t forget that only DRY contacts can be applied to the relay control contacts (On,Off external control).
Since you’re using the T2, the key is the ‘Device Mode.’ Even with a pro electrician, make sure you look into the ‘Wet Contact’ vs. ‘Dry Contact’ settings in the Aqara Home app.
If your staircase timer triggers by shorting phase to neutral, you can usually set the T2 to ‘Pulse’ mode. This lets the relay act like a quick button press to trigger your existing time-lag device without staying ‘on’ and messing up the timer’s logic.
