Hey everyone, I’m diving into the world of Z-Wave and trying to set up a 2-way switch using the Aeotec ZW130 Quad WallMote and the NeoCoolcam EU-1 Z-Wave switch. While it sounds straightforward, I’m hitting a snag and could really use some guidance!
Here’s what I’ve done so far: I’ve added the WallMote as a thing in my OpenHAB setup, and it’s recognized perfectly—buttons light up and vibrate when pressed. The EU-1 switch is also working flawlessly on its own. My goal is to use the WallMote in tandem with the EU-1 to create a 2-way switch setup for a single light. I figured setting up the WallMote’s association groups would do the trick: Group 1 for the Lifeline linked to the OH controller, and Group 2 linked to the EU-1 switch. I was hoping this would let the WallMote send On/Off commands directly to the EU-1 switch.
But here’s the issue: when I press the buttons on the WallMote, nothing happens—the light doesn’t toggle at all. I’m wondering if I’m missing a crucial step in the association process or if there’s a different approach to achieve this 2-way setup. Maybe there’s a rule or a different configuration I should explore? Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated!
I’m also curious if anyone else has successfully set up a similar configuration and what their approach was. Whether it’s through associations, rules, or a combination of both, I’m all ears for any advice that could help me get this working smoothly. Thanks in advance for your insights!
