Hi everyone! I’ve been diving into some exciting AI Task projects lately and wanted to share my experiences and ask for advice. I’ve been using AI Task to automate some cool home monitoring tasks, like reading an analog gauge on my propane tank and setting up motion detection for package delivery notifications. Here’s a quick overview of what I’ve done so far:
-
Propane Tank Monitoring: I set up AI Task to read the analog gauge on my propane tank and store the value in a counter. It’s been super handy for keeping track of fuel levels without having to manually check the tank.
-
Package Detection: I’ve also created a system that detects motion in front of my house and then checks for packages. It counts how many packages are there and sends me a notification if there’s a change in the count. It’s been a lifesaver for tracking deliveries!
I’d love to hear from others who are using AI Task for similar or even more creative projects. What kind of automation tasks have you set up around your home?
On another note, I’ve been working on setting up smart lighting in my home and came across a few challenges. I’m using a mix of Z-Wave switches and smart bulbs, but I’m having trouble getting them to work seamlessly with voice commands. For example, when I say, “Alexa, turn on the kitchen lights,” I want the smart switch to ensure the lights are on and set them to a specific color like warm white. I’ve tried using Node-RED for some automations, but I’m not entirely sure if it’s the best approach.
Has anyone successfully integrated Z-Wave switches with smart bulbs in a way that allows for consistent voice control? Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Lastly, I’ve been trying to figure out how to view the history of my shared cameras from another device. It seems like I can’t access the history unless I’m on the original device, which is a bit frustrating. If anyone knows a workaround or has any insights, I’d be really grateful!
Thanks for reading, and I look forward to hearing from you all!
