As far as i know that M3 can connect to homekit by 2 way that are “directly by Homekit code” or “matter ecosystems”
However i found that each way have some disadvantage points
1: homekit connection: that is not available Air conditioner
However, the Switch devices that can be displayed as “light” “Switches” “fan”. Those are quite useful for me now.
2. Matter ecosystems connection: it can be show the AC, however all the devices that can not defined properly the purpose such as “fan or switch”
3. So do we have any other way to show AC to Homekit, is it possible to ask AQara developers team to update software?

If you have Home Assistant available, that could be another option. Depending on the AC brand and its Home Assistant support, you may be able to expose the AC to Apple Home through Home Assistant’s HomeKit Bridge.
Unlucky, i have no idea to use Home assistant.

Ok, i haven’t personally tested this with Aqara M3, but I use Home Assistant for some of my smart home integrations. That’s why I mentioned it as one possible alternative based on my own experience. I also shared an example today of how I use Home Assistant to control my Samsung AC through Apple Home.

Sure, I can share how I have done it. Just to clarify, this solution requires Home Assistant.
My Samsung AC is connected to the Samsung SmartThings app, and then I connected it to Home Assistant using the appropriate integration. From Home Assistant, I expose the AC to Apple Home using the HomeKit Bridge integration.
After that, the AC appears in Apple Home with the controls available, so I can control it with Siri and from the Apple Home app.
For a Daikin AC, the same idea could work if the model is supported by a Home Assistant integration.
As a bit of extra information, Home Assistant can be run on different hardware. I currently run mine in a Synology Virtual Machine, and before that I used a Raspberry Pi 4. There are several ways to get started depending on your setup.
Well i did add my AC using my M3 via matter code and this are the only controls that Apple home show for the AC’s now i didn’t add the M3 hub as HomeKit hub because this will add the zigbee devices 2 times.so i didn’t chise the HomeKit to Connect my M3 and if you see on my screenshot shows the AC witch HomeKit support right now

Yeah but that is HomeKit and thread issue as we all know Apple is to lazy to do the things right or adding new things.lets see what is happening on ios27.by the way the M3 hub is not an dedicate AC device is more then that my be that is why you do not see the AC icon to chose it.
Fos example i just notice that on my aqara w100 witch is battery powered shows me the power option on ios27 beta as i sad apple home app still needs work.even with all the issues that are on works perfectly for me at least I have no issue on ios27.many things are not as we wish they are as Apple want and they do not care if you like it or not ![]()

Anyway, for me. AC on homekit just easy to see and easy for manual control because the ios app basically too simple for using simple things

Apple Home categorizes accessories based on how they identify themselves to the system when paired.
In the first screenshot, original post the device is exposed to Apple Home as a generic On/Off Switch or a multi-purpose relay.
Because a physical smart switch can technically be wired to a light, a fan, or a generic appliance (like a holiday tree or a pump), Apple Home provides the “Display As” menu.
This gives you the flexibility to tell the Home app exactly what is plugged into that switch so that Siri commands (like “Turn off the lights” ) act on it correctly.
Apple is solely responsible for this behavior. The menu interface, the logic behind when the “Display As” option appears, and the platform restrictions are entirely controlled by the Apple Home App.
If you ever need to forcefully change a light into a fan or switch type within Apple Home, it typically requires bypassing Apple’s rigid classification by routing the device through an abstraction layer like Home Assistant or Homebridge , where you can manually override the entity domain before exposing it to Apple Home.
