Hello everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the AirGradient Outdoor Monitor and its integration into Homey. I’ve been looking for an outdoor sensor that can measure air quality parameters like PM, VOC, CO2, and NOx, and this device seemed like a great fit.
I decided to go with the kit version, which arrived after about two weeks from Thailand. The assembly process was straightforward, taking me about ten minutes. The kit includes a small torx screwdriver, which made things easier. If you’re not comfortable handling circuit boards, the fully assembled option might be better for you.
Setting up the sensor in Homey was a breeze. I followed the instructions to power it up, connect to its Wi-Fi, and then provide my home network credentials. The inclusion process through the AirGradient app was seamless, and all sensor values became available almost immediately.
One feature I really appreciate is the ability to adjust the update interval between 15 seconds and 5 minutes. This customization helps optimize the sensor’s performance based on my needs. I’ve been using the monitor for over a week now, and it’s been reliable—never dropping the connection and providing quick updates.
However, I do wish there was an option to set a fixed IP address directly on the sensor. If anyone knows if this is planned for future updates or if I missed something, I’d love to hear about it! @Achim_AirGradient, any insights?
Overall, I’m very satisfied with the AirGradient Outdoor Monitor. It’s been a great addition to my outdoor air quality monitoring setup. If you’re considering this device, I’d highly recommend it for its ease of use and comprehensive air quality measurements. Happy monitoring everyone! ![]()
