I want to figure out a way to reliably know when it is actually raining outside of my house. I thought that there could be some cheap rain sensor but they always have way too many functionalities and I want to be able to connect it with my Aqara hub. Anyone has a recommendation for this_

use aqara weather as a trigger to issue notification
Get a cheap rain sensor plate on Ali Express or Amazon and wire it to an Aqara Leak Sensor. Just losen the screws on the down side of the sensor and there u have it. Unfortunately u will get Alarms paired to Homekit. In the Aqara app u can turn the alarm of, i think and get a push notification
