If you are new to Aqara, here is a useful tip that will allow you to set up multi-brand solutions.
Apple Home: Triggering an Aqara light based on a condition involving a light from another manufacturer
- Launch the Apple Home app.
- Go to the “Add Automation” menu.
- Sélect a condition, for example, “At a specific time.”
- On the next screen, select “Sunset” (for example) and tap “Next.”
- On the next screen, scroll to the bottom and select “Convert to Shortcut.”
- On the next screen, tap “Search for actions.”
- On the next screen, select “Scripts.”
- On the next screen, select the “If” condition.
- On the next screen, you can program the automation using various elements managed by Apple Home. Let’s take, for example, an Aqara light named “Sink-Stove” that only turns on if a Philips Hue light is off (see attached image).
