Aqara Camera E1 shows incorrect local time (1 hour ahead on CET)

Hi everyone,

has anyone found a working solution for the incorrect time on the Aqara Camera E1?

Current situation:

  • We are currently on CET (UTC+1)
  • The camera displays a time that is +1 hour ahead of the correct local time

Setup:

  • Region: Germany / Europe
  • Time zone: automatic
  • System time on iOS is correct

What I did not do:

  • I did not reset the camera

Observation:

  • The camera does not appear to correctly follow the active time zone (CET vs. CEST)

Suggestion:
It would be helpful to have either:

  • a manual time zone setting per device, or
  • an option to manually adjust the device time

Is this a known issue, or does anyone have a confirmed workaround?

Hi @sjiskwbood , did you set the correct time in the Aqara app under home settings too?

Solved.

The key was checking the time settings under Home settings, not Profile → Settings.
I had only adjusted region/language in Profile, which is misleading.

In Aqara App:
Home → Home Settings → Time / Time zone

After setting it correctly there, the camera time is correct.
