Hey everyone! I wanted to share my experience with integrating Aqara devices into SmartThings. I’ve been using Aqara devices for a while now, and they’ve been a great addition to my smart home setup. However, I recently encountered an issue with my Aqara TVOC Smart Air Sensors that I thought might be worth discussing here.
So, the air quality aspect of these sensors isn’t something I’m deeply focused on, but I was really hoping they could at least report the temperature and humidity. Unfortunately, it seems like they’re only sending tamper, battery status, and voltage data. I’ve tried everything from resetting the sensors to checking the firmware, but nothing seems to make them report the other metrics I’m interested in.
That said, I still think these devices are fantastic. The e-Ink display is sleek, and they look great in my home. I’ve decided to keep them around, even if they’re not giving me all the data I’d like. Maybe there’s a workaround or a firmware update in the future that could fix this issue.
