VN319000) :

  • Sortie : 24V AC — 30 VA
  • Format : rail DIN (3 modules)
  • Compatible et confirmé par Aqara

Installation :

Aqara Doorbell Camera G400 — Nightly disconnection: definitive fix (EN)

Problem: My Aqara Doorbell Camera G400 (wired model) went offline every single night as soon as infrared/night-vision mode activated. It came back online automatically at sunrise, when night mode switched off. This is the key symptom: if your G400 is offline every morning but comes back on its own during the day, this is almost certainly your issue.

Root cause: The original transformer inside the Legrand chime enclosure (a small built-in Myrra module) was underpowered for the G400’s infrared mode, which draws significantly more current than normal operation. The doorbell wasn’t receiving enough power and dropped offline for the entire duration of the night.

Aqara support confirmation: I contacted Aqara support, who confirmed the G400 external power specifications:

  • Input voltage: 8–24V AC / 1.3A — or 8–24V DC / 0.8A
  • Minimum recommended power at 24V AC: 12 VA
  • A 30 VA transformer at 24V AC covers all operating modes including infrared

Solution: Replace the original Myrra transformer with a Vemer TMC 30/24 (ref. VN319000):

  • Output: 24V AC — 30 VA
  • Format: DIN rail (3 modules wide)
  • Confirmed compatible by Aqara support

Installation steps:

  1. Empty the existing Legrand chime enclosure completely (remove PCB and mechanical chime — no longer needed with the wired G400)
  2. Screw a short section of 35mm DIN rail to the back of the enclosure
  3. Clip the Vemer transformer onto the rail
  4. Connect the existing 230V wiring (live + neutral) to the transformer’s primary terminals
  5. Connect the two secondary wires (24V AC) to the G400’s external power terminals — no polarity required
  6. The original cover was too shallow, so a custom cover was 3D printed to fit

Result: Tested with infrared mode forced on — no disconnection. Problem permanently resolved.
