Does the Aqara Doorbell Camera Hub G410 support Wi-Fi Edition Ethernet via (1) one Ethernet and (2) Power Cable to an USB-C adapter? So if you then convert a LAN cable and USB-C power supply with an adapter to USB-C, does the doorbell recognizes Internet via LAN?
@KingDando You seem to be experiencing an issue with whether the Aqara Doorbell Camera Hub G410 supports Ethernet via a USB-C adapter. You can contact customer support for assistance.
Contact the Aqara Home App Customer Service Team (Home > Help & Feedback > Customer Service) or scan the QR code:
This will be more efficient. If you do not have an Aqara Home account, “Please click here” to create a ticket.
The doorbell has:
- WiFi 2.4 and 5 GHz
- Thread
- ZigBee
Power is supplied via batteries or 2 wires (1 wire pair).
A LAN connector (RJ45) has 8 wires (4 wire pairs).
This means that it is not possible to enable an internet or network connection via the power supply.
Or do you mean the chime? According to the instructions, it is a USB connection for power supply. Not for data connections.
Thanks for the nice pictures. I actually mean the chime from the Doorbell.
Pretty sure the USB-C is power only. Have not seen any of this in testing or docs. If it did, this would be a completely hidden and unadvertised feature ![]()
I previously found an official Aqara image where the port was labeled “USB connection for power supply”, and the manual also specifies “Power supply: USB-C”.
In addition to that, the door chime would need to include a USB-Ethernet driver for a USB-to-LAN adapter to work. Implementing such drivers would add extra complexity and cost, and it’s safe to say that this is 99.99% unlikely.
I’m not convinced it’ll work, but I’ll order an adapter from Temu next week and try it.
