Among the numerous configuration parameters, there are three that I really don’t understand: LED Disable Night, Schedule start time, and Schedule end time, the latter two always referring to the LED disabled option. But the question is… which LED should I turn off at night? I don’t see any LEDs coming on… is there an option to activate the LED trigger when it detects presence/motion, like with the PIR P2? I haven’t found anything… ![]()
Yes, there is a blue LED. It will blink when you click the button on the FP300. I haven’t noticed it blink personally, maybe it blinks periodically when there is presence or absence (or when it looses connection).
Hello, this is called “light rest”.
This type of indication is practically not used by users. I personally use it when setting up new equipment. Therefore, the user is given the opportunity to control the light time himself. The same setting is available in other Aqara devices (switches, sockets…).
I don’t think it refers to the pairing LED. If I deliberately press the pairing button, I don’t think it would bother me. It seems more like something related to a function that activates the device under certain conditions. The truth is that in two weeks, I never noticed the LED light up without pressing the identify function button.
Thanks for the reply, but I’m not sure I understand. So you’re not referring to a feature of the device on which it’s available, but to something that controls the actual lights? I don’t understand why you’re referring to LEDs. Can you give me an example of what you mean?
This is an LED indicator that, once turned on, will blink while driving. Again, this is just an indicator of sensor operation, it does not play any role other than visualizing the sensor operation.
Okay, this is a feature available when using an Aqara hub, but it’s not available in the Zigbee2MQTT version, so the option to disable the LED at night for Z2M users is useless. Thanks for the explanation
I was racking my brains trying to figure out what that meant.
You can disable the LED in Zigbee2MQTT according to a set schedule. Enable the toggle and set the time scheduled for the disable, as shown in the screenshot. The device may need to be woken up with a button press before the settings will get written. I don’t think there was an always off option when the Z2M converter was originally written.
