all of my G100 cameras received the latest firmware update v4.5.20_0006 I went ahead with the update — it downloaded and installed fine, reached 100%, and the camera showed “restarting.” But after that, one camera, it went offline and now it’s just stuck with a flashing yellow light.
The other 3 are updated and work as expected.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
• Held the reset button for 10 seconds – it flashes purple briefly but then goes is restart loop
• Removed the camera from the Aqara app and from Apple HomeKit
• Restarted my router
• tried power cycling
None of these steps worked — the camera just keeps flashing yellow and shows in the app for pairing but after 5 seconds it restarts , so setting up is impossible
Is anyone from Aqara support is reading this, is there a way to manually recover or re-flash the firmware? like i already see a similar issue with an older firmware
I have 5 Aqara G100 cameras. 4 updated smoothly, but 1 G100 is stuck in a restart loop after updating to v4.5.20_0006 (flashing yellow light, never completes boot).
This is very similar to an issue I had previously with firmware v4.3.7, where the camera also went into a boot loop. At that time, Aqara support provided me with a firmware file and a recovery procedure, which successfully restored the camera.
For this current issue:
I tried using the same recovery file and method provided previously by Aqara
Unfortunately, it no longer works for this firmware version
So I’d like to ask:
Is there a new or updated procedure to restore the firmware using the files provided by Aqara for v4.5.20_0006?
Or is there a new recovery firmware specifically for this version?
Appreciate any guidance from Aqara or anyone who has managed to recover a G100 from this update loop.
I opened a ticket to support
they provided a link to download the recovery files for the older firmware 4.3.8
my advice is to open also a ticket
this way they acknowledge the issues
