Aqara G100 v4.5.20_0006 – Camera stuck in restart loop after update

Hi everyone,

I’d like to report an issue with the Aqara G100 firmware v4.5.20_0006 that may affect multiple devices.

I have 5 Aqara G100 cameras:
• 4 updated successfully and are working normally
• 1 camera failed after the update and is now stuck in a restart loop with a flashing yellow light

The update process itself completed to 100% and showed “restarting”, but the camera never came back online afterward.

What I’ve tried:
• Holding the reset button (10–15 seconds)
• Power cycling multiple times
• Removing the device from the Aqara app and Apple Home
• Rebooting the router
• Attempting firmware recovery using a previous Aqara-provided recovery firmware and method (which worked for me during a similar issue on v4.5.8)

Unfortunately, the previous recovery file/method no longer works with v4.5.20_0006.

This suggests:
• The camera may be soft-bricked by this specific update
• The existing recovery procedure may not be compatible with the latest firmware

Questions for Aqara / community:
• Is there a new recovery firmware or updated restore procedure for G100 on v4.5.20_0006?
• Has anyone else experienced a boot or restart loop after this update?
