Aqara G3 camera keeps disconnecting from network

I have an Aqara G3 camera in my detached garage. I have a mesh unit for my WiFi in my garage, so it it should be getting a good connection to my network.

The G3 camera keeps losing its connection. I have re-paired it a few times, but it keeps dropping. Annoying to have to get out a ladder to reconnect it every time (I have it mounted high up so it gets a good view of the area).

It was working rock-solid for over a year, but it has been disconnecting for the past month or so. Any ideas?

Have you added any new appliances in the area? A mini split ac? A new dehumidifier? Something that cycles on and off and might be causing interference?

Hi @aaronweissman there could be several reasons:

  1. Try changing the power adapter
  2. Switch to 2.4 GHz network for better coverage

What kind of router do you have? I’ve experienced the same but only notice HomeKit losing connection and reconnecting on my end. It gotten so bad that I had to turn off disconnect alert notifications for the camera

Nothing new in the garage?

I would bring it closer to your mesh hub and see if that makes a diffrence. Also I would check to see how many items can be connected to network at one time.
