I’ve had the g4 for a few months and it has been amazing. All of a sudden the past 2 weeks the doorbell keeps going offline. Does anyone else have this issue and has found a fix?
@vega210 I’m sorry to hear that your G4 Doorbell has been going offline recently! This can be frustrating, but there are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:
-
Distance and Obstacles: Ensure that the distance between your G4 Doorbell and the chime is within 5 meters, and try to eliminate any obstacles between them.
-
Power Check: If you’re using batteries, check if they are alkaline and have sufficient power. If you’re using wired power, ensure the connection is stable.
-
Restart and Reset: Restart the doorbell by cutting off the power and then restoring it. Also, consider doing a factory reset by pressing and holding the reset button on the doorbell for 10 seconds.
-
Wi-Fi Strength: Make sure your doorbell is connected to a strong 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network without interference, and avoid using special characters in your Wi-Fi name or password.
If these steps don’t solve the problem, reaching out to Aqara customer service for further assistance might be a good idea. I hope this helps, and let us know how it goes!
