Aqara geofencing to trigger Alexa devices (UK)

Hello. I have been trying to create routine to use Aqara geofencing to trigger lights to come on when I arrive home (for example) to no avail. Is there a way to do this in the UK? Thank you

@bagirich To set up Aqara geofencing to trigger Alexa-controlled lights when arriving home, here’s a step-by-step guide based on available information:

1. Set Up Geofencing in Aqara App

First, configure the geofencing automation in the Aqara Home app. For Automation 2.0 (recommended for more flexibility), go to Aqara Home app > Profile > Automation 2.0 > choose enter/exit location to set up the geofencing trigger. Note that geofencing relies on iOS system or Google services, so ensure your device supports this.

2. Integrate Aqara with Alexa

To link Aqara devices with Alexa, connect your Aqara Hub via the Aqara Home App: Go to Profile > Smart Speaker Service > Amazon Alexa and follow the setup instructions. Ensure your lights are connected to the Aqara Hub and Alexa-supported.

3. Verify Automation Settings

Double-check that the geofencing automation is set to trigger the desired action (e.g., “turn on lights”) and that the Alexa-linked lights are selected as the target device. If using Automation 1.0, note that only the mobile phone used to create the automation can trigger it.

If you encounter issues, ensure your network/GPS is stable (geofencing relies on system callbacks and status reports, which can fail with network/GPS problems).
