Aqara H2, T1m, T2 – Zigbee Direct Binding (Z2M) Support

Hi, does anyone have experience with Zigbee Direct Binding on these specific Aqara devices using Zigbee2MQTT?

• Wall Switch H2: Can it be bound as a controller to other bulbs?

• T1m Ceiling Light: Does it accept direct On/Off & Level Control bindings?

• LED Bulb T2: Supports standard clusters for direct binding?

I’m trying to bypass the coordinator for lower latency. If you use these in Z2M, could you check the Bind tab for available clusters?

T1M and T2 have binding to the genOnOff cluster.

The wall switches H2, I have the US H2 OnOff 2 button 2 channel, and the US H2 Dimmer, do NOT at the time of writing support direct Zigbee binding. I really wish they did. But nope. For reference, I use z2m

Does any other Aqara wall switch support this?

Hey! I just want to revive this discussion - H2 does support “MARS Tech” which sounds incredibly similar to Zigbee binding, so I’m sure they’re at least capable of it.
I did have a play around with a switch in Z2M, which does let me bind genOnOff (and tells me binding was successful), but I wasn’t able to get the binding to actually action a group of lights. Since Z2M converters are community-maintained, it could very well be a configuration issue unrelated to the switch itself!

I’ve stuggled with this for a few days now, and I must admit I didn’t think about this being a problem but not having the direct bind is a real chore! I have to use decoupled mode to get by which isn’t ideal
