Aqara M3 in apple Homekit security problem

Hi! Ihave a aqara M3 chinese version bounded on my homekit and 5 sensos (doors and windows) only! I only use aqara as security system and operates by homekit! When I chosse “away” mode to engage alarm system all are ok! But, when returning to disable alarm in “OFF” and change the app to another one, on return to homekit the state back to AWAY

Maybe the firmware problem?

@rubens_pro Welcome by Official Aqara Forum :clap:.

Do you try to connect your Hub with a 5V 2A power supply? Or bigger? Maybe your M3 it’s not getting enough current from your current power supply.

Hi Gtxteo! Yes my M3 is plugued in a power source, not PoE! The system rubs fine until I update the firmware to 4.3.7_0036. I reset the system several times and unlink/relink homekit.

First I mind the problem is Homekit (every time start the home page the security system show the last state, and when turn off, back to away again…) later I do aqara software tests and I see greyed the disarm button and can’t disarm…

Any chance to wayback to previous firmware? Or downgrade ?

As a temporary option for disarming, I suggest making automation using any button in the house (switch, wireless) or another trigger that only you will know about.
I use this in my home for my family.

Based on my personal experience with the alarm system, I recommend replacing the power supply with a new one, then checking whether the Home and Away mode settings are correct, and consequently the automations themselves.
I had a similar problem a while ago. My trigger for arming and disarming the alarm system was a mini switch. Everything worked until the alarm system could only set Away mode and not Home mode. The automations and scenes were fine. Then, after replacing the power supply on my Hub M3 with a 30W one, the system no longer had any problems.

Hi gafich10! Thank you for your tip, but all these options are used and don’t work! Scenes on homekit don’t work deactive the alarm but come back to AWAY, I don’t use hardware switches and engage in iphone only.

I create some gadget in ESP32 and using homespan librarys to homekit, seems a programmer bug like a “state flag” persistent, and this problem occurs after a firmware update… but I don’t found a way to downgrade the firmware yet…

I’ll try replace the power supply, it’s strange thing me, my power supply is a apple iphone original 5v 2.1A on a online nobreak, and don’t use switches or other hardware linked in.

My aqara system are only for alarm, and I pretend to expand the system (another M3 to more coverage to sensors - but I can’t find other M3 in aliexpress to send to brazil! My version is chinese).

At now maybe only downgrade firmware can solve this

Ok, try another power supply and keep us updated.

Swap the power supply… maybe it’s the problem! Until now all settings prevail away and off…

Maybe my later powersupply has deprecated

Happy to have helped you👍.
