Hello,
I am unable to configure NAS storage in Aqara Home. Both of my Aqara cameras fail with the same message:
“Permission verification failed. Please try again.”
My setup:
-
NAS: Ugreen DH2300
-
NAS firmware: UGOS Pro 1.18.1.0098
-
Camera 1: Aqara Camera G100
-
G100 firmware: 4.5.45_004
-
Camera 2: Aqara Camera Hub G2H Pro
-
Hub G2H Pro Firmware: 4.5.30.0004.0013
Since 22 August 2026, two of my Aqara cameras have stopped recording to my NAS over SMB. Nothing was changed on the NAS, the router or the network on that date, and both cameras had been recording reliably for months.
The NAS is a UGREEN DH2300 unit running UGOS Pro. It is healthy and reachable: SMB ports 445 and 139 both accept connections, and a macOS client/Windows 11 on the same network authenticates, lists all shared folders and creates files without any error. The NAS records no login attempt whatsoever from the cameras, even with SMB transmission logging enabled — so the cameras do not appear to be opening a session at all.
One camera gets past the credential step but cannot save the destination folder, and it keeps listing a shared folder that I deleted from the NAS several days ago. The other fails at credential validation and then reports a connection failure.
I have already created a new dedicated NAS account with a simple ten-character alphanumeric password, enabled NTLMv1 validation and the Local Master Browser, cleared the SMB cache, restarted the SMB service, rebooted the NAS, the router and the cameras, reinstalled the app and performed a factory reset on one camera. The behaviour is unchanged.
Thank you.
