Hi everyone, I’m a new user exploring the capabilities of the Aqara P1 motion sensor. I’ve been using it to create a smart automation system for my home, particularly for detecting when my cat approaches the door. The setup works beautifully in stable lighting conditions, but I’ve encountered an issue with rapidly changing light conditions, such as when the sun moves in and out of shade. This causes the sensor to trigger the automation unintentionally, which is quite frustrating.
I’ve tried adjusting the sensor’s sensitivity settings and experimenting with different placement options, but the problem persists. I’m wondering if there’s a way to configure the Aqara P1 to ignore these rapid light changes or if there’s a workaround within Home Assistant to filter out these false triggers. Any advice or tips from the community would be greatly appreciated! I’m also curious if others have faced similar issues and how they resolved them. Thanks in advance for your help!
