How satisfied are you with Aqara products?
I’m not very happy.
I had a problem with the U200 lock, which was replaced under warranty, and even the new one doesn’t work optimally. I have to set it up several times, calibrate it… I’ll slowly get tired of it and replace it with Nuke or something similar.
G410 intercom - occasionally it detects incorrectly. It is able to send me 10 notifications that it detected something, even though there was no event.
I’m thinking about replacing it with TAPO, which allows you to receive a call when you press the doorbell (the g410 is supposed to allow this until April)
W600 radiator valve - I have it set to be connected to the T1 temperature sensor (TH-S02D). It occasionally loses connection, which causes the radiator to heat up, even though it shouldn’t. The sensor settings need to be re-set.
I plan to buy three outdoor cameras and am already looking at the TP-Link TAPO. I already bought a TAPO HUB, so I’m just a little short of replacing everything!
second what trouble shooting have you done, connection is everything, is your lock connected, just to aqara hub? to apple homekit via hub, or direct to homekit via matter… because with matter, battery vs plugged in devices matter the most… as a rule of the thumb regardless of what anyone says for a stable connection over big distances you want a satalite in the matter netwrok every 10 meters or so.
Yes some will say matter does not need it, but having experiance with all the matter eco systems I say it does.
maybe comming here and saying I have the u200 lock, its connected to the … hub and it keeps getting disconnected.
on the Thermostat, you willl find that all software has bugs, with the tapo ones I find they have the same issue as my schnider (drayton wiser) ones in that they will auto add a schedule everytime you open the app on mobile. its annoying. This is what this forum is for, its not only for info, but also help if some of us can give it.
Welcome to the forum!
It is always frustrating when smart home devices don’t work as expected.
Nuki Lock My Nuki also broke down a few days ago after only six months of use. It was replaced under warranty, but I have also been having issues with the calibration. It finally worked after a few attempts, and now I’m just hoping it stays that way. I had the impression that it was struggling a bit when closing the door, so I have now oiled the lock to make it run more smoothly. We’ll have to wait and see—fingers crossed!
G410 Doorbell I have a G410 as well, and the issue with false alarms can potentially be fixed. Which system are you receiving the notifications from? Is it through Apple Home or the Aqara app?
Thermostats I am using E1 thermostats along with the W100 for control and I am quite satisfied. Since I started using Lithium-Ion batteries in the thermostats, I haven’t had any more problems. It might just be a matter of the right settings. @gafich10 Could you possibly help here? You know a lot about this kind of thing.
Outdoor Cameras I am also very happy with the Aqara G5 Pro outdoor cameras; they have been working very well for me.
The release of the W600 to the market in its broken state can not really be defended. Not until everyone gets the working firmware can it be mentioned without criticism.
If this says something meaningful about Aqara as a whole, people have different opinions on.
All devices are connected via the m3 hub. I have already contacted support for the G410, they did not give me a result, so I am contacting them again.
Tapo has the ability to record 24 hours and record to an SD card, while the g410 uses SD only for cache. (I bought 512GB for free)
For the U200, I have heard of several cases where the mechanism fails. It is not designed for heavy loads.
For the W600, only this part of the connection to the external sensor does not work ok.
