Aqara RGB LED T2 bulb and dynamic effects

although the aqara brochure suggests that static and dynamic effects are available, they do not seem to be findable via thread integration. I have not tried resetting my light as a Zigbee device via m3 hub–is that a solution?
I’d like to be able to breathe or blink the light. it seems to support a breathe action as when the device is reset it will breathe 2x but nowhere in Aqara or 3rd party apps is the breathe or blink function exposed

Hi there, yes, using our LED Bulb T2 in Zigbee Mode can make that work. Hope this will be helpful for you : )

On the T2 product page it states: “Circadian Lighting Syncs with Nature
Fully compatible with Apple HomeKit Adaptive Lighting, the T2 automatically adjusts its color temperature throughout the day. This feature optimizes lighting for comfort and ambiance, aligning seamlessly with natural daylight changes to promote well-being and productivity.”

When Aqara talks about “HomeKit compatibility “, does that assume HomeKit compatibility through Matter over Thread or through use of an Aqara HomeKit compatible Zigbee hub?

Will adaptive lighting be a severance in the aqara app for Android?

Yes “HomeKit compatibility through use of an Aqara Hub.”
If you’re using Zigbee mode and have the device bound to any Aqara Hub, Adaptive Lighting is supported in Apple Home. However, in Thread mode, Apple currently does not support Adaptive Lighting. While we’ve included a disclaimer on our website, it’s not very prominent, so many users may have missed it. Support for Adaptive Lighting via Matter over Thread depends on Apple’s implementation, and based on what we’ve been told, it’s expected to become available around late Q2. We’ve been eager to move things forward, but ultimately, it depends on Apple’s development timeline:(

I experienced this the hard way and wish when first installing the Aqara Smart Bulb the very first page it’s displayed and gives the user an option to use Zigbee or Thread along with a small explanation of features listed. I ended up installing and resetting 3x going back and forth to see for myself the difference in the features. In the end Adaptive lighting is a very big deal for me and a feature that I want above all the other options.

Telling me this up front would have saved me a lot of time.

I want this function in Aqara
