Hi everyone, this is my first post on the Aqara forum, and I’d really appreciate your advice.
I have quite a few Aqara Roller Shade Driver E1 units, and they work perfectly. However, all the window frames in my house are dark brown.
Do you have any ideas on how I could safely change the color of the housings so they match the window frames?

Honestly, unless you’re a professional painter, the result is guaranteed to look much worse than just looking at a white E1 against a brown frame. And even trying to 3D print a replacement housing usually ends up with a surface finish that looks worse than the original white plastic. I also haven’t seen replacement housings sold anywhere separately either.
If you have a window reveal painted in a light color, then the dark color of the window shouldn’t really matter that much, right?
That’s true. However, I have a triple window with three roller blinds, and the middle E1 driver has to be mounted on the window frame anyway. That’s why I’d love to find a safe way to change the housing color to better match the dark brown frames.
I’d honestly just switch to motors built directly inside the roller blind tube instead.
Does Aqara even offer an international version of the Aqara Roller Shade Controller T1S?
I know the T1S is available in China, but I don’t think it’s available in Europe or the U.S., right?
Yes, the international version definitely exists. My app actually shows it as the T1
As ott_silver already mentioned, that’s probably going to be a challenge. I’ve tried touching up a damaged spot on a window like that before, and there are wax kits available where you can mix different shades. But it’s really hard to get the exact shade right.
Can you separate the housing and spray paint it?
I’ve contemplated doing this on my E1 Curtain motors, but only the top part is visible there and isn’t electronic at all.
Remove the four screws and carefully take off the back cover. The internal components are simply plugged in and can also be carefully removed. Only the circuit board is secured by plastic tabs, which must be carefully pushed back, leaving you with the bare plastic housing.
But please note: opening the device will likely void the warranty.
A tinkerer like me - always ready to take things apart 
I’d say this is the way to go if painting is a must.
Of course someone clever enough with the right equipment could also 3D print a replacement housing in their color of choice.
Thanks for the suggestions. I think painting will probably be the best solution.
I don’t do 3D printing, so that’s not really an option for me. Besides, I doubt I’d be able to find a ready-made design to print.
Just keep in mind that spray painting over unknown plastic without proper prep and a dedicated plastic primer is pretty much a lottery. It might hold up, or it might start peeling off in sheets sooner or later. If you do go for it, make sure the surface prep is spotless!
