Aqara Sensor Accuracy and Smart Home Setup Tips

Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation lately and wanted to share some of my experiences and questions with you all. I recently set up an Aqara temperature and humidity sensor in my bathroom, and I’m curious about its accuracy. It shows humidity levels between 50% and 70%, especially after taking a shower where it spikes up to 70%. Is this normal, or should I calibrate it somehow? I’d love to know if others have similar experiences or tips for ensuring reliable readings.

On another note, I’ve been experimenting with integrating multiple smart devices from different brands. For instance, I’ve been using Homematic IP devices alongside some Zigbee sensors. One thing I’ve noticed is how programs can sometimes behave unexpectedly. For example, I set up a program where pressing a wall switch or using a remote control should trigger a relay for 3 seconds. It works perfectly with the wall switch, but the remote control only responds on the first press. After that, it doesn’t seem to register unless I press the wall switch again. Does anyone have a plausible explanation for this behavior? Maybe it’s a timing or signal interference issue?

Lastly, I’d love to hear from those who have successfully integrated devices like the Aqara sensors and Homematic systems into a cohesive smart home setup. Any tips for ensuring smooth operation and avoiding common pitfalls would be greatly appreciated! Happy automating everyone!
