Aqara Smart-Lock U200 and knix

Hi,

I have KNX for most of automation at home. Front door can be opened by KNX. I now want to extend with a U200 keypad so I can use the features of the U200 (NFC, keypad, fingerprint) to open the door. Can this be done without installing the doorlock? I will also install the G5 Pro camera and have a matter bridge.

I’m very sorry, but currently the U200 keypad can only be paired one-to-one with the U200 door lock and cannot be used to control other door locks.

Hi @fonny

From my understanding you have a matter bridge connected to your KNX system that would allow you to add the U200 to create automations based on unlocking/locking the U200 via the keypad?

I currently have a U200 that is not installed in a door but sitting in its box. I added the keypad outside my garage and created an automation in Apple home that will open the garage when I unlock the U200. It will close the garage when I lock it.

I’ll post a video tomorrow using an nfc to trigger this automation. If you can connect it to your KNX system I’m sure you should be able to do similar automation to do what you want to do.

Please feel free to follow up if I’m off base or you need more help so we can follow up.

As @Aimer mentioned the U200’s keypad cannot separately be paired via matter but if you can get it in then you can trigger automations based on the lock unlocking/locking.

Do you mean KNX?

I think KNX is what it is because although my reply has knix I didn’t find anything like that when I went to double check.

Sorry, is indeed KNX. I have corrected my original question. Thanks for the remark.

Apologies @fonny as it was pouring at my location today and I couldn’t record the clip. I’ll try tomorrow if it doesn’t pour again.

How are you connecting your KNX system to Aqara or vice versa? There are KNX Matter bridges that have started becoming available in the market, and I would think you would need one to bridge the two systems.

Hi Robert,
Connection between will probably be an Atios KNX Bridge.

got it. Just making sure you had a bridge for this, as without one it wouldn’t be possible.
