Hello, I have emailed and not heard back. As expected the lock does not fit properly and the strike plate is slightly off and needs the door pulled in to lock or unlock, defeating the automated purpose of this lock and the reason I purchased it. The wire having to go under the latch in the deadbolt hole does not tuck neatly and the lock isn’t completely flush.

I look forward to the update beta firmware to test out the higher toque motor in the hopes it has enough power to remove itself from the strike plate without user intervention.

I just got a smartthings hub to try out the Samsung Wallet feature. As far as I can tell, Samsung Wallet and Smartthings are all updated. I’m able to add my m3 hub to smartthings but the U400 does not show up unless I manually add the U400 via matter. It seems to detect it as a generic matter switch or matter lock. With my S24 Ultra pressed against the lock, no NFC unlock is triggering.

Am I missing something? Is there a specific Smartthings driver for Aliro?

Go to the Lock’s detail page in SmartThings. It should show Wallet as a “related service.” Press on that and it’ll add the key to your Wallet.

Sorry. I should have mentioned that this Digital Key shows up in my Samsung Wallet but as a generic gray card without any Aqara branding. When I try to use NFC to unlock, the lock doesn’t seem to be reading the NFC signal from the device.

Managed to resolve my issue. I have an IoT VLAN and route all traffic unless excluded through a VPN. From what I can tell through router logs, it seems that Samsung Smartthing and Aqara is handling some handshake via their backend service (non-local) to ensure a secure key exchange. I’d guess Samsung may have some ip address related guardrails as the IP of the Smartthing/Aqara/S24 likely did not all match which probably flagged something. Anyways, I added an exclusion for Aqara and Smartthings hub and things worked as expected.

I feel like Samsung should display a popup message or something to help users understand what may be going on. Hopefully, this helps someone in the future.

I have four locks and so far have added two to the smartthings hub and Samsung wallet. The first U400 added to Samsung wallet works perfectly with NFC but the second doesn’t work and l get a message “Try Again”. The second lock will manually lock and unlock within the wallet app. I removed and added the second lock three times and get the same result; the last time being this morning. Anyone with more than one lock have any luck with NFC working on all of them?

Is the beta version you’re referring to available in the Aqara app or do I need to have support send a specific version to me directly?

The U400 is able to sense when the door is closed for auto-lock functionality in the Aqara app. I’m just wandering if it’s possible to expose the door open/close status to Apple Home via a firmware update? Thanks!
