Aqara Smart Lock U400 – Latest Firmware V3110(Apr 10)

Just installed u400 and setup ok in Apple Home and Aqara app, but having issue with unwanted UWB unlocking.

Lock is installed on entry door near side of house. Long walkway path from front of house to backyard. I have UWB settings to disable Left and Right approach (in both Aqara app and HomeKit). Just front approach default is turned on. Using beta firmware 3110.

Any slow walking near the door from right side will usually trigger an unlock and that’s unwanted. Since the pathway is very narrow, it seems that a direct “Front” on approach would not be possible and can only be approached from left or right side!

Im at a loss for a fix here. Ideally it would be great to have a setting that requires UWB to wait for user to stop for a determined time once triggered in order to unlock versus walking by and not stopping or pausing in front of lock.

Any help appreciated here. Thanks!

While it is true that you can disable “Unlock on Approach” per apple device such as iPhone or Watch, unfortunately I have not found a way to disable UWB unlock on approach at the individual lock level, and that’s an issue.

For a home with say 3 u400 locks and 1 of the 3 needs NOT to have uwb unlock and the other 2 do, it appears to be an ALL LOCKS or NO locks enabled feature. There needs to be a way to selectively turn this on or off at the Lock Level in Apple Home.

As mentioned above, I have learned this as I have a side door along a narrow pathway that frequently gets walking traffic during the day and it falsely unlocks with UWB when walked by from the side even though approach setting is set to front only. I want to install 2 more u400 locks in the house that will work fine with UWB approach as expected. No way to keep the 2 that work fine on UWB Approach and the problem one have UWB turned off! Hope this will be a future fix !

Here is a video showing the problem of approach.
