After making a suggestion on another post that Aqara should create a Sonos integration, I’ve just discovered through reading a Reddit post that one already exists!
So now I know it’s there, I’d like to use it within simple automations but I can’t see the specific option I need.
Use case, when pressing Button 3 on my W100 located in my bathroom, I want the Sonos Roam to start playing BBC Radio 2 (Connected Service in Sonos using BBC Sounds).
Today I achieve this by linking the W100 to Alexa, and on Button 3 press Alexa says “Play BBC Radio 2” to herself and it starts playing on the bathroom Sonos, but would be good to have this all within Aqara.
Actually Alexa says “Play BBC Radio 2” to herself TWICE for some reason (I’m guessing sees one press as two?) which is really annoying and this is also a reason I want to remove Alexa from the process!
@2SC_UK Great to hear you’ve discovered the Sonos integration—let’s see how we can help streamline your automation!
To start, adding Sonos devices to Aqara involves third-party service authorization. You can navigate to the “My” tab in the Aqara Home app, select “Third-Party Service Authorization,” choose Sonos, and follow the guide to complete the setup.
However, the specific automation action to play BBC Radio 2 via a button press (like your W100’s Button 3) isn’t detailed in the current community resources. For step-by-step guidance on linking the button press to Sonos playback, reaching out to customer support would be the most efficient way.

Just following up on this. I was able to add automations to the individual buttons on the W100 to play specific radio stations on the Sonos speaker. I really think the W100 is the best Bathroom companion! If only if has a clock on it!
So, this is what I did…
Open the Sonos App and play the specific radio station you want to use
Tap the “Now Playing” bar and select Add to Sonos Favorites
Name this favorite clearly (e.g., “BBC Radio 2” in my case)
Back in the Aqara App, create your Automation
When En-suite W100 button 2 pressed
Then…
Select Sonos speaker in Accessories
Select “Play the specific playlist”
Select the favorite created earlier “BBC Radio 2” in my case
Save!
I then created an automation for a double tap to stop playing.
Yes, I’ve been using the integration for a long time and it works very well. One of my favorite setups is with the Cube: each face is assigned to an artist, and when the Cube is placed on a side, Sonos automatically starts playing the associated playlist.
A shake of the Cube also lets me pause or resume playback, which makes it very convenient to control music without using a phone or voice assistant.
