Any know if the team has any plans to support the LED ring more natively within matter exposed connections ?
Currently i have it wired up via HomeAssistant and HomeKit.
Only option I found was making scenes and exposing them, while it works it leaves no room to manage it without the Aqara App
While this works it’s not ideal, it’s exposed as a switch vs a button making usage confusing and annoying since the light state must be tracked externally.
I have T1M connected via Matter to HomeKit and the LED is exposed as an RGB lightbulb.
The thing I noticed is that HomeKit automatically grouped the main white light and the LED as one device and I had to ungroup it. So it looks like it’s exposed as one Matter device with two subservices (white lightbulb and RGB lightbulb)
Sorry correct the LED is exposed but there is no way to make the patterns like the Aqara app has, I have to setup various scenes for all the different patterns and expose them.
Oh, then you’re correct, I don’t have those with T1M or the LED strips (no matter if it’s connected by Matter or HomeKit). But I don’t know whether any of this ecosystems supports those fancy effects, so maybe there’s so way currently to implement it?
But I would also like a feature like this, it would so cool if I could manually select colors and effects via Matter
Unfortunately Matter is mostly with less features like zigbee by Aqara devices!

Ohhhhh very nice; I haven’t look again since I setup these last summer, always great when the community figures this stuff out 
Would still be nice to see support via matter since I have locks that can’t but fully managed without Aqara hub
