Aqara T2 GU10 CCT overheating

Hi Anyone encountered Aqara T2 GU10 CCT overheating issue? Which leads to the auto shut-off of the light?

@zhiting_88 Hi there! The Aqara LED Bulb T2 (including GU10 models) may overheat and trigger auto-shutoff if used in unsuitable environments. For example, using it in fully enclosed lamps can lead to poor heat dissipation, causing the over-temperature protection to activate. It’s recommended to install the bulb in open, well-ventilated fixtures and keep it away from heat sources to avoid this issue. Have you checked if the bulb is currently in a fully enclosed lamp or near any heat sources? Feel free to share more details and we can discuss further

Unfortunately, I have the same problem. I received 3 pieces today and installed them in my bathroom (25-26°C during shower). After about 10 minutes, 2 out of 3 shut off!

They’re mounted in standard recessed spotlights - other bulbs worked without issues for 7 years - Aqara has a problem. Unfortunately, I’ll probably have to return them.

I assume your using them with the Aqara app, does it report a device temperature in there? There is a device temperature sensor in T2 bulbs.

I am using a normal gu10 holder that is holding the light bulb… The holder is 70 *110cm. I got 8 of this gu10 and all of it will have overheat issue if on at 100% brightness and 6500k. Now what i do is reducing to 90% and 5000k. Mars tech need to tune to normal mode instead of intelligent mode after much calibration and trial and error.
