Could you please post screenshots of the automation options offered for the tado thermostat inside the Aqara app?
Hi @nzjrs , sure, here are some screenshots. I don’t have Tado thermostat heads bacause I have a community heating system and we don’t need those, so the automations are limited to stabilising temperature and turning off.
This looks amazing! Really impressed by the setup.
Thanks, sorry, I mean the IF options for the tado X when you try to make an automation
Ok! Easy, whatever you want to do, it depends of the number and type of @AqaraOfficial devices you have at home. I give you more examples:
-Temperature and humidity sensors: IF temperature is below X THEN turn on heating. Or IF humidity is above X THEN turn on heating.
-Door and window sensors: IF door/window open THEN turn of heating.
-Smart Lock: IF smart lock locks THEN turn off heating.
-You can also use timetables, or if you have smart thermostat heads you can use presence sensors to turn ON/OFF heating.
-If you are Apple HomeKit user, you can use scenes like “leaving home”, “good night”, “good morning” to turn ON/OFF heating or even scenes like “shower time” to heat the bathroom, etc…
Thanks, no I mean in the other direction. Is there an option for
IF “temperature is above tado X set temperature”
Where the set temperature is the one you adjust on the screen of the tado device.
Yes, there are options for IF Tado X… THEN, this is the screenshot, it’s in Spanish, as the language in my app.
Great, thanks a lot.
@AqaraOfficial @Jimmy.Wu @XT-XianTang @Harold with reference to my previous thread here Aqara W100 Thermostat the above screenshot and the presence of a ‘Heating’ state, which is conditional on the set temperature, means that it is easier for me to build an adjustable wireless thermostat using Tado X Wireless Thermostat than it is to use the Aqara W100 wireless thermostat.
This would be solved simply if the W100 had the automation I suggest.
However for now, I regret buying the W100, it seems using the Tado X Wireless would have been a better purchase.
This is bad.
We are sorry that W100 doesn‘t meet your needs at this time. Our team has collected your suggestion in your other post. Thank you very much for sharing it with us. We will let the forum know if there are any updates.
