Hello,
I’m experiencing multiple issues with Aqara E1 Radiator Thermostat and aqara temp&humid /sensor
(Hub:m1s gen2)
• External Aqara temperature sensor shows correct live temperature in the app, but E1 does not seem to use this value for control. (Please see attached photo. Thermostat is still not activated even sometimes difference more than 2 degree.)
• Heating only starts when I increase the target temperature by manually from the app (normal small delta does not trigger heating)
• Mechanical side is confirmed OK (valve pin works correctly, opens immediately when thermostat is removed)
Valve calibration does not solve the problem
Short notes if it helps,
Setting details:
• Region is set to Turkey
• Hub and external sensor work normally individually
• not sure but Behavior looks like unstable Zigbee communication / ghost pairing
Questions:
1. Is Turkey region officially supported for Aqara E1 Thermostat?
2. Is this a known firmware or region-related issue?
3. firmware may fix? Hub fw: 4.5.20_0027.0013
Thanks.

@isikkfurkan Hello! Sorry to hear you’re running into these issues with your Aqara E1 Radiator Thermostat. Let’s break this down based on the details you’ve shared:
External Temperature Sensor Not Controlling E1
The Aqara E1 is designed to receive readings from connected Aqara temperature sensors (including in HomeKit) to control room temperature, rather than relying solely on its built-in sensor . However, for this to work properly, the external sensor must be in the same room as the thermostat and placed 2–3 meters away from the radiator (to avoid heat interference). If the sensor is too far or not linked correctly in the app, the E1 might still use its own internal reading . Since your sensor shows the correct temp in the app, double-check the sensor placement and ensure “linkage” with the E1 is enabled in the device settings (if available).
Heating Not Triggering with Small Temperature Delta
This could relate to how the E1 interprets the target vs. actual temperature. If the external sensor isn’t properly linked, the E1 might be using its own (possibly inaccurate) internal sensor, leading to delayed heating. You mentioned valve calibration didn’t help, but since the mechanical valve works, the issue may lie in sensor communication or app settings .
Unresolved Questions & Next Steps
For the specific questions you raised (Turkey region support, known firmware/region issues, and firmware fixes), the provided reference information doesn’t include details on regional compatibility, firmware versions, or region-specific bugs. Similarly, the thermostat staying online with batteries removed and app calibration screen freezing aren’t addressed in the FAQs.
To resolve these, contact the Aqara Home App Customer Service Team (Profile > Help & Feedback > Customer Service) or scan the QR code:
