Hello,
Yesterday I installed my new Aqara W600, after being a happy customer of the Aqara E1.
I want to report a strange issue: tonight the W600 has opened the valve for no apparent reason, because it was set to “off”. I woke up in a hot room.
My setup is the following: Home Assistant + Zigbee2MQTT.
At 23:00 the thermostat was turned off. However, the valve was kept open at 15%. The room started to cool down, because the central heating was off.
The TRV opened the valve at 03:26 to 100% for no apparent reason. At 6:46 was closed to 0%, but the central heating was on and the room started to heat. Then, shortly after opened it to 17%.
I was sleeping until 8:00.
This is not a normal behaviour: if the thermostat is set to off, it should simply close the valve and don’t heat.
When I woke up in a hot room and realized what happened, I turned on and turned off the TRV. It seems to be off to 0% since then, but it’s just 2 hours.

@olivercervera You seem to be experiencing an issue where the Aqara Thermostat W600 opens the valve unexpectedly when set to “off”. You can contact customer support for assistance. Contact the Aqara Home App Customer Service Team (Home > Help & Feedback > Customer Service) or scan the QR code:
This will be more efficient. If you do not have an Aqara Home account, “Please

Hi @olivercervera, did you receive the firmware update for your thermostat? Does the issue persist?

To be more precise, @Solmath is talking about Zigbee firmware version 0.0.0_2442.

Hi Solmath. I haven’t checked yet. I don’t have a Aqara Hub, so I think the only way to receive it is to switch from Zigbee to Thread and again to Zigbee. But from my understanding the FW is not generally available.
For my issue I’ve found a decent workaround: instead of simply shutting down the TRV, I set it to a very low target temperature. By doing this, the TRV behaves correctly and closes the valve.
