Hi there fellow adventurers,
I’m on a constant battle with the rest of the household trying to convince that when they say it’s cold, it’s actually 30degrees.
I’ve got a lovely tablet in the hallway, but I can’t find a good/clean/practical way to visualise the current temperature & last 24h.
I’m using the aqara thermostat & linked to aqara sensors for better accuracy
Any ideas/recommendations is far too welcome
@aurondvanhelder It sounds like you’ve got quite the setup going on, and it’s great to hear that you’re using Aqara thermostats and sensors for more precise temperature control! Currently, visualizing the current temperature and historical data on a tablet involves a few considerations:
-
Integration with Home Assistant: Home Assistant is quite versatile, allowing you to integrate various devices and create custom dashboards. Make sure your Aqara devices are properly integrated with Home Assistant. You can use the built-in entities to fetch temperature data.
-
Dashboard Setup: For a clean and practical visualization, consider using the Lovelace UI in Home Assistant. It offers customizable cards and layouts to display current temperature and historical graphs effectively. The History Graph Card is particularly useful for displaying temperature changes over the past 24 hours.
-
Aqara Sensor Accuracy: Since you’re using Aqara sensors for better accuracy, ensure they are placed optimally—away from direct sunlight and heat sources, as recommended in the reference documentation. This ensures the data displayed is as accurate as possible.
-
Utilize External Tools: If Home Assistant’s native capabilities aren’t enough, consider using external tools like Grafana for more advanced data visualization. This can be integrated with Home Assistant to pull data and create interactive dashboards.
I hope these suggestions help you create a practical and visually appealing setup to convince your household of the actual temperature. Feel free to share your progress or seek further advice from the community. Happy tinkering!

@aurondvanhelder Hi there! It sounds like you’re dealing with a classic “perception vs. data” household debate—we’ve all been there! While the reference information doesn’t specifically cover visualization methods for temperature data on a tablet, the Aqara community is full of creative folks, so maybe someone here has a setup to share.
If you’re using Home Assistant, you might want to explore its dashboard customization options—many users create clean, widget-based layouts with history graphs. You could also check if there are third-party apps or widgets that integrate with Aqara sensors to display 24-hour trends.
Feel free to share more details about your current setup (like which Aqara thermostat/sensors you’re using), and the community might have tailored tips! If you have suggestions for improving Aqara’s data visualization features, you can submit feedback through the Aqara Home App (Profile>Help&Feedback>Customer Service) for further assistance.
Hope you find a solution that helps settle those “it’s cold” debates—good luck!
