Aqara Thread hub M100 not reconnecting to WiFi

After a router reboot, the M100 doesn’t seem to reconnect for quite a while. Anyone else with this experience?

@lj_aqara It sounds like you’re experiencing some challenges with your Hub M100 reconnecting to WiFi after a router reboot. This can certainly be frustrating. Based on the information we have, here are a few steps you might consider to troubleshoot this issue:

  1. Ensure Proximity: Make sure your phone is close to the Hub M100 during the reconnection process. This can help ensure a stable connection.

  2. Correct WiFi Network: Your phone should be connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, as the Hub M100 might not support 5GHz networks.

  3. Reset the Hub: If the Hub M100 fails to reconnect, you might need to reset it. You can do this by pressing and holding the button on the Hub for 10 seconds until the orange indicator light starts flashing. After resetting, try reconnecting to the network.

Hopefully, these steps will help your Hub M100 reconnect more smoothly. If anyone else has experienced this and found other solutions, feel free to share!

There are two suggestions for you:

Suggestion 1:

  1. Completely delete the Aqara Home app (clear any data).
  2. Remove the hub from the Home app (iOS) and clear any remaining gray icons with an exclamation mark.
  3. Restart your iPhone or Android phone.
  4. Reinstall the Aqara Home app and try again.

Suggestion 2:

If the first suggestion fails, try the following:

  1. Use one phone to set up a Personal Hotspot (ensure this phone is only connected to 4G Cellular).
  • Go to Settings > Cellular or Settings > Personal Hotspot.
  1. Use another phone to connect to this Personal Hotspot and then try to connect the Hub.
If the suggestion 2 works, measn it is the Wifi issue
