I have a U100 which I love. My office is about 15 feet from the front door and sometimes I can hear beeping coming from the lock. Almost like a low batter beep, but it’s not that when I check in the app it says battery is high. If I pull the batteries it stops but eventually the random beeping comes back.
Anyone else experience this?

@Goose12 It sounds like you’re experiencing some unusual beeping with your Aqara U100 door lock. Based on the reference information, there are a few potential reasons and solutions for this issue:
-
Firmware Update: Ensure that the firmware version of your door lock is up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve unexplained behaviors like random beeping.
-
Metal Interference: Check if there is any metal near the door lock that could be interfering with its sensors, causing it to beep.
-
Water Droplets: Make sure there are no water droplets on the door lock panel, as this could also trigger a beeping sound. Cleaning the panel might help.
If none of these solutions work, it might be a good idea to reach out to Aqara support for further assistance. I hope this helps! Feel free to share more about your experience or if you have any other questions.
@Goose12 It sounds like you’re dealing with some unexpected beeping from your U100—definitely not ideal, but let’s see if we can narrow it down. From what I know, random beeping (even when the battery is high) could be related to a few factors.
First, you might want to check if there’s any metal nearby or water droplets on the lock panel, as these can sometimes trigger false signals. Also, updating the lock’s firmware to the latest version is a good step to rule out software glitches. If that doesn’t help, trying a restart by removing the batteries for a few minutes (which you’ve already done, but maybe repeating it could help) or checking the connection line might be worth a shot. These steps are often suggested for similar beeping issues with the U100.
Have you noticed if the beeping happens more often at certain times or when something specific is near the lock? Maybe other community members have encountered this too—feel free to share more details, and we can troubleshoot together!
If the problem persists, reaching out to customer service might be the next best step. They can help dig deeper into the issue.
Hope this helps—let us know how it goes!

I do have same behaviour with my back door u100. From time to time It does that beep and the only way to stop it is to take the batteries out and put them again.

We had this happen when the wind would blow some drops from the sprinklers up on the lock. Not very many could ever get on it, but enough would get on for it to trigger the warning that someone was trying to disable the lock. I think it was from the repeated pattern of water hitting, (not sure). Dried it off and the sound went away after a reseat.
